Royal Mail: Changes to VAT on postal services

A limited number of Royal Mail services became liable to VAT in 2011. This will extend to all bulk mail services in April 2012.

Nationwide strike in Belgium on January 30th

On Monday 30th January, unions have called a nationwide 24-hour strike which threatens to disrupt public services across Belgium.
The 24-hour action will be held from 10pm on Sunday 29th to 10pm on Monday 30th.
Please note that in consequence of the strike, distribution could be subject to a one-day delay.

Heavy snowfall in Iceland and the norther part of Greece is disrupting mail deliveries.

Snow Storm in Romania

International flights departing from and arriving at H. Coanda International Airport in Bucharest are currently being delayed or cancelled as a result of heavy snowstorms and blizzard conditions. Inward and outward flows of international postal items have been suffering disruption since the evening of Wednesday, 25 January.
